Steve is an Innovator and Tech Entrepreneur with 25+ years’ experience in the IT industry. Highly experienced in both Software Automation and Cisco technologies, Steve has worked in Senior Technical roles on projects for both state and federal government, as well as many large enterprise customers, across most industry verticals.
Steve is the Director of dAIta and has also co-founded and/or serves as director for a number of other tech companies, including ITIC, Yirigaa, Cyber Security Defence and Yarnlab.
Embracing the core values of innovation, collaboration and growth, Steve has dedicated much of his time and effort in recent years, to bridge the gap between Academia and Industry, as well as supporting the development and research in areas such as AI, Machine Learning and Cyber Security. Steve is particularly interested in AI/ Machine learning (Deep Learning and Neural Networks) and is an Industry Advisory Board Member at Macquarie University, a Short Course Lecturer at UTS and the Industry Stream Leader at the Macquarie University AIP research centre, for AI-enabled Education.
Embracing Industry 4.0, one of Steve’s most recent tech start-up’s, dAIta, combines the best of Academia and Industry to solve difficult Data + AI problems, whilst also helping to build tomorrow's IT workforce, by offering valuable work integrated learning for university students.
